The first couple of weeks of starting Keto can do some weird things as your body is adjusting. When I tackled it, I decided to be kind to my psyche. My body was loving the change but I wanted grains!
CARB ALERT: Depending upon how much you eat, this could be a higher carb food.
I tossed together the following ingredients and then on those mornings I could not do an egg (as I was learning the Keto way – there are better options), I would eat about 1/2 a cup of this mix and heavy whipping cream. I found it very satisfying in small portions and sometimes had 1 cup for dinner.
NOTE: After the first few weeks, I lost my cravings and rarely eat this now.
Add any of these at your own ratios.
- Coconut – shredded
- Pumpkin seeds
- Almond slivers
- any other nuts you want
- toss a few berries on top
- garnish with cocao nibs
