Easiest recipe ever and ever so versatile and satisfying.
Basic recipe is:
2-2.5 lbs lean meat (beef, venison)
Spices to taste or an onion soup packet. We did:
- 3 tsp onion powder
- cracked pepper
- 1 tsp tumeric
12 oz of grated cheese (we had a peppery Somerdale cheese and a white cheddar combo)
2 lg eggs
1/2 cup mayonnaise (or greek yogurt)
1/2 cup heavy cream
Oven 350 / 35 mins
Brown meat / drain / add spices
Spread into a 9×13 baking dish and mix in half the cheese
In a bowl: mix eggs, mayo, and cream.
Poor over the meat and top with the cheese
It was fabulous with tomatoes and banana peppers, but it would be great on lettuce, grilled onions and mushrooms, or with any burger toppings you like. It has so many possibilities.
