A new venture this evening was ahi tuna and it will be on our future menu!
Start with a rub – ours was a little garlic, ginger and sesame seeds.
Then pan sear using olive oil.
How simple is that?
You can even add a drizzle of hoisin sauce.
Note: A side of green onions, tomatoes and avocado make a nice addition; however, I quickly discovered that while the avocado paired with a bite of tuna is delectable, tomatoes are a no-no. That is, unless you like your tuna to suddenly express a strong fishy taste! Funny how that works! I was not amused. Back to the avocado for me!
